Brief unrelated thoughts that just don't seem to fit anywhere else

From the "technology that baffles me" department....
One of my many goals in life is to get an envelope to come out of the printer with the address the right way up on it AND with the address not printed on the back flap.
I have published two novels (The Woman Upstairs & Bitters--both from NeWest Press) and a collection of short stories (Cool, from River Books). My first book of non-fiction, WRITE AN EFFECTIVE FUNDING APPLICATION: A GUIDE FOR RESEARCHERS AND SCHOLARS, has just been published by the Johns Hopkins University Press. I have been a freelance writer and editor for industry and academic clients for nearly 20 years, and worked as editor-in-chief at a publishing company and as awards facilitator at a university.

Sigh! That's an impossible dream I've long given up on. Now I'm back to actually just writing on envelopes. ;p
